Family photoshoot: 3 generations!

Well, we had to reschedule once due to inclement weather (the rain we hadn't received for 3 weeks decided to show up the evening of our shoot) and it almost cancelled our second chance to get this shoot completed, but thankfully the rain that was present all day moved out just in time! It's a good thing we were able to get this done, because one of the families was here for just a short while from California. Theme of the shoot: fun!! Relaxed, too. There was a lot of laughter and that's just the way a shoot should go. After all, I am going for real-life moments (which is why people choose custom photography over canned studio "Sears" sessions, right?)! Here are some of the best from the day.

Adorable Twins!

These two cuties turned two this month! Balloons, bubbles, tutus, and tractors were the theme. This was my second shoot with them, having done their 18 month pics and family Christmas card photos. They were definitely a little more active now! Twins are funny because there are many times where they seemed to be in sync with one another, but plenty of other times where they were going in two directions. However, I welcomed the challenge with open arms; distraction was the key and I had a lot of help from their beautiful mama. Here are some of my favorites.

Camera upgrade

I have, in my posession, a Canon 5D Mark II. I have only begun to play with it in the last hour, but here is a sample image of my son, shot in the backyard. I think I am in love.
